About the workshop
We are kicking off May with our first in a number of workshops on Hospice Care Sustainability, which will be held on Thursday 13 May, 2pm-4:30pm, via Microsoft Teams. We are delighted that we will be joined by the National End of Life and Palliative Care Team at this workshop.
The workshop will explore some of the challenges and opportunities presented:
- In the 2020 Hospice UK report, Hospice UK Future Vision Programme : Discovery Phase
- In the Commissioning & Investment Framework for Palliative and End of Life Care report
- And in the ‘A New Approach to Supporting Community Healthcare Funding’ report
This will be an interactive workshop; attendees will have the opportunity to engage in a rich discussion with peers. For more detail, please refer to the agenda.
Learning outcomes
- Recognition that P&EOLC needs should be met at ICS population level, in and out of hours, by a variety of organisations.
- Understanding of the potential and challenges of the KPMG Report
- Understanding of the potential and challenges of the draft Commissioning Investment Framework
- The ICS teams’ commitment to applying the above to ICS structures, processes and outcomes, identifying the key enablers
Who should attend?
We would encourage STP SRO’s, Clinical and Hospice leads to cascade the workshop details within their own networks and to their hospice CEO’s or Medical Directors, Specialist Palliative Care Leads, finance and commissioning colleagues.
