South East Nursing and Midwifery Green Week

We are pleased to announce the first ever regional Nursing and Midwifery Green Week – taking place from the 18 -22 March 2024. Sign up and please circulate to your colleagues and communication teams.

We will be hosting a webinar a day throughout the week 13.00-14.00, with a celebratory finale on the Friday 13.00-14.30. You can download a programme of our plans for the week here.

Key Objective

To amplify the contribution of Nursing and Midwifery in delivering NHS Net Zero Carbon Ambition, raise awareness, generating interest and mobilise nursing and midwifery expertise in planetary health.

Show Casing Sustainability Exemplars, Outlining Regional Sustainability Ambitions/actions, Educational Awareness Raising Events, Sustainability Quality Improvement Models and Identifying future actions.

There will be South East Chief Nurse Green Awards for speakers and competitions running throughout the week, including which team can get the highest step count. Award winners will be supported with their CPD and have the opportunity to support NHS Forest.
