Our ReadyforPregancy campaign in numbers

50 bespoke illustrations

The #ReadyforPregnancy campaign is a unique collaboration of local maternity systems from across the South East region, working with the shared objective to raise awareness of how women’s health when they get pregnant affects them and their baby not only throughout their pregnancy, but also at birth. The campaign supports National Maternity Transformation Programme goals to reduce stillbirth and neonatal and maternal deaths.

It has been a 12 month campaign that has involved:

  • all six local maternity systems across the South East of England
  • monthly co-production meetings featuring over 50 healthcare professionals
  • 12 pregnancy related topics, one per month
  • over 50 bespoke illustrations
  • over 70 different organisations across the South East posting content on their social media channels
  • versions translated into 10 different languages
  • development of an easy read booklet and British Sign Language film
  • creation of five parent advocate films

All of which has resulting in one system-wide, joined up approach.

The project was a true collaborative partnership with colleagues from NHS South East Clinical Delivery and Networks, Public Health England, NHS Creative, Maternity Voices Partnerships and the six Local Maternity Systems in the South East Region all working together. #ReadyforPregnancy raised awareness of good things women can do prior to conception to improve fertility, pregnancy health and their baby’s health making the information as widely accessible as possible.
