The South East Mental Health, Learning Disabilities and Autism (MHLDA) Cell has shared a key paper on literature and findings in relation to the current and predicted psychological and mental health impact of COVID-19 and associated safety measures on Children and Young People (CYP).

The paper, entitled: The Children & Young People’s Mental Health Restoration and Recovery Planning Summary of Relevant Literature and Emerging Evidence (2020), can be downloaded below, along with the associated Annex:

It has been produced by Dr Gavin Lockhart, Consultant Clinical Psychologist and Clinical Lead CYP Mental Health, NHS England South East Clinical Delivery Network/Mental Health Cell/Health Education England, Kent, Surrey & Sussex and Victoria Sopp, Research Assistant, University of Sussex/Sussex Partnership Foundation Trust.

The paper draws key findings into a synthesis, summary, and suggested next steps, which will form part of the discussions of the South East Demand/Capacity Modelling Sub-Group meeting, and aims to aid in both predictive modelling and restoration and recovery planning.
