A recent webinar looking at two very different aspects of digital mental health has been organised by NHS England and Improvement South East Mental Health Team.

The first presentation summarised the South East Digital Team’s current work with Moorhouse Consulting to improve data around Physical Health Checks for patients with SMI. By flowing data between secondary and primary care, health outcomes can be improved for a cohort with a decreased life expectancy as a result of their conditions. The second presentation from Dr Becky Inkster examined the disruptive effects of cyber attacks on third party mental health providers with examples, loss of confidence in systems, catastrophic effects for the individual and the importance of cyber security for future mitigation.
