Maternity Support Worker

Sam is a Maternity Support Worker – Clinical Educator for Hampshire Hospitals Foundation Trust, with a dedication to education, developing talent and supporting career progression.

In September 2024 she received the Chief Midwifery Office Excellence Award for developing and delivering a ‘maternity equity programme’ across the trust. Highlighting healthcare inequalities within the UK, enabling healthcare practitioners to better understand and improve on care given to Black, Asian and Ethnic Minority women and neonates.

Sam is a member of South-East Region, Expert Reference Group, NHS England. A team devoted to improving maternal and neonatal outcomes for service users, accessing maternity services, as part of the NHS equality, diversity and inclusion improvement plan.

Sam is also a member International Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT). She has a passion for health and wellbeing.  As a specialist holistic practitioner in reflexology, oncology and maternal massage, she is encouraged to see the advancements of integrated health services within mainstream healthcare.
