Jane Anstee

Business Support Assistant

What relevant experience do you have to perform your current role?

I have a broad range of experience from working in both the NHS and the corporate sector.  Whilst working in the NHS as a medical secretary at various Trusts and within various specialties, I gained valuable knowledge in helping to care for patients, support clinicians and aid the smooth running of the organisation.  Additionally I have extensive experience of working in administration in the corporate sector at senior level, this helped me develop the skills required to support those working in pressurised high level roles.

What excites you about working at South East Mental Health Team?

There is more focus on mental health today in the press, on social media and within society as a whole than I can ever remember and I feel it is now being recognised as being every bit as important as a patient’s physical health.  I am excited to be working in this field as it comes to the foreground and receives the recognition it needs and deserves.

What difference are you making to improve the care and health outcomes of patients or members of the public?

My work in a support role enables my colleagues to carry out their work efficiently and effectively, which ultimately benefits patients and their families.
