Our focus of the Children and Young People Clinical Network is transformational change across pathways to improve the experience and outcomes for women and families, babies, children and young people. To date we have focused on Children and Young People’s Mental Health and Infant Health.

Our main area of work is supporting the Sustainability and Transformation Partnerships/Integrated Care Systems with service delivery and improvement across the South East in line with the identified deliverables outlined in the NHS Long Term Plan.

We also aim to highlight health inequalities across the South East through the analysis of local, regional and national data and support CCGs and Public Health in reducing them.

Infant Mental Health: Working together, healthier together, growing together

Take a look at our short film made specifically with commissioners in mind, to demonstrate the impact of parent infant services. It’s a collaboration between experts in parent infant mental health from across health, social care, DorPIP and national expert Robin Balbernie, funded by Health Education England.

You can also view the following presentation by Dr Beckie Lang, CEO Parent Infant Foundation, on the national picture for parent infant relationship services, providing insights from the PIP UK ‘Rare Jewels’ report and an update on the development of integrated services in Belfast and Essex.
