Learning Environment Lead Midwife

Selina is the Learning Environment Lead Midwife and Professional Midwifery Advocate, at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. She is also a member of the South-East Regional Maternity and Neonatal Ethnic Minority Workforce Expert Reference Group (ERG).

In her role as the LEL, she is experienced in increasing placement capacity, passionate about improving the learning experiences of student midwives and providing pastoral support.

Selina is also passionate about advocating for the needs of underrepresented groups within the healthcare system. Her aspirations over the next few years include advancing initiatives that focus on workforce diversity and inclusion, as well as fostering an environment that champions equality in maternity services across the NHS.

With a strong background in clinical practice and a deep understanding of the unique challenges facing ethnic minority populations in healthcare, Selina is poised to be a driving force in promoting inclusive, equitable, and high-quality maternity care.
