Nana is a midwife specialising in Safeguarding and Perinatal Mental Health with the NHS ensuring that women and staff are safeguarded and maintain good mental health in all aspects of their lives. She is a member of the South-East Neonatal & Maternal Workforce Expert Reference Group. This platform provides equal opportunities for career development and progression while ensuring that voices are heard in advancing the EDI agenda to provide safe care and enhance patient and staff satisfaction.
Part of Nana’s role in the ERG is to contribute to Quality Improvement Projects and policies that are both patient and staff-friendly, focusing on the ethnic minority group by identifying gaps in her Trust and looking for sustainable solutions. As an ERG member, she is committed to the NHS agenda of Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion, ensuring that every member of the population, especially the ethnic minority group who receives and gives care, has their voices heard.
Nana aspires to work with NHS England, the World Health Organization, or UNICEF in the next five years as a Project Manager or Consultant focusing on the Millennium Development Goals. Finally, she loves to travel and explore new cultures, photography, and vlogging.
