Health Economic Analysis of Post-Stroke Spasticity Care

Spasticity Care

The purpose of this report is to evaluate the economic, health and social outcomes of a co-ordinated service model for post-stroke spasticity management services across Kent, Surrey and Sussex.

The service model has been designed to reduce unwarranted clinical variation in practice and availability of spasticity management services. It is intended to enable staff to access the appropriate resources and expertise to get the patient the care they need at the first attempt, fulfilling the vision of the NHS Long Term Plan to implement an innovative, high-intensity rehabilitation service to help manage this long-term condition. This report sets out the methodology and findings of this analysis.
